DIY Green Cleaners for Windows and Bathroom!

I have a beautiful 4 year old daughter and I love her! But let’s be honest, kids get super curious and just don’t know how to stay out of things. Before it was easy, just keep cleaners on top of shelves and you’re good. But when they can move chairs and stools and climb on the counter while you’re going to the bathroom, then you start to get worried about all of the chemicals in your cleaners.

I found some awesome cleaning alternatives that are MUCH safer and I don’t have to worry about her spraying herself in the face or whatever because it’s not going to cause eye damage or need a phone call to poison control.  windowcleaner

Safer Window Cleaner

What you’ll need:

  • Equal parts of water and white vinegar
  • (depending on the size of your bottle, the exact measurements may vary)
  • 1 teaspoon of Dawn Dish liquid – any kind should work, you can get the blue kind if you want your water tinted a little bit like “real” window cleaner lol

Green Bathroom Cleaner

What you’ll need:

  • 1 liter of water
  • 1/4 cup of white vinegar or apple cider vinegar
  • 1/8 cup baking soda
  • Fragrance of choice (5-10 lavender or citrus essential oil drops work great!)
  • Optional: add a teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide to make your own “Oxyclean” type of cleaner for the shower!

There you have it, a few ways I have found to clean my home while being safer for my daughter. We all love our kids!
