Cooking and Science

Today, I learned that sugar melts at 366 degrees (Fahrenheit) and that you can figure out if your oven is on par by putting a tablespoon of sugar into the oven (on foil or something oven-proof) and setting the timer for 15 minutes (starting at 350 degrees) and seeing when your sugar melts. IMG_7376

Now if only the rest of the cooking class homework was that simple, I’d be golden. haha
