Some days you just need a little chocolate in your life, but you really don’t want to break your diet but you also don’t want the nasty preservatives that come with store bought chocolate syrup, or aspartame. Well then this sugar free chocolate syrup recipe is for you!
1.5 cups water,
3/4 cups unsweetened cocoa powder,
1/2 cup truvia (or 1/8 cup stevia)
pinch of cinnamon,
dash of vanilla, boil over medium heat and whisk until it thickens 5-10 min, store in the fridge in a sealed container for up to 2 weeks. If you are using stevia instead of truvia wait until the ingredients are near done and thickened and then add it. Stevia doesn’t cook as well and will leave you with a more bitter aftertaste if added too early. 🙂
